Get Your Social Security Statement
Where's My Social Security Statement?
Those familiar green and white booklets that you used to receive a month, or so, before your birthday each year, aren't coming anymore.
In a budget cutting move, the Social Security Administration stopped mailing paper benefit estimates to workers.
The agency resumed mailing paper statements in February 2012, but only to a select group of workers -- those 60 and older who are not currently receiving benefits. Everyone else can expect to receive a statement every fifth year.
That doesn't mean you can't still view your current statement online! To retrieve your online Social Security Statement, you must visit www.socialsecurity.gov/mystatement.
